Remote control lawnmower was not hard to build and cost less than $400 total in components to build (including a new mower, controls and the used powerchair). This has been an enjoyable and useful project. This is my second total revision. I added a bagger, improved the leveling adjustments, made the frame lighter yet more robust, and weather proofed all controls. The lawnmower is easily removable for other applications (Like fertilizing or riding my son around the yard.)

great invention. I really love the zero turn aspect to it. I am not mechanically minded so it would be very hard for me to make something like this. But I am a mower man and can see the benifit!

try and make it electrically powered or solar powered, then it'll be human friendly and environmentally friendly :D

Yes, you are right. I made a second one out of a 19" 48 volt craftsman battery powered mower. Its been in use for two years now. My initial intention was to solar charge it, but other projects have derailed that plan for now.

Really? This is how lazy americans are getting these days? LOL Next time you ask your son to mow the lawn, he will be more than happy I bet.
