rainbow - i surrender

Saw these guys at the Manchester Apollo in 81(difficult to cure tour). My mate and i ordered our tickets through the fan club but they never arrived.
We received a letter telling us to come to the back door of the Apollo on the night of the concert and the tickets would be waiting for us. Instead of being given tickets we were hustled in at the back and v.i.p. stickers slapped on our denim jackets.
We passed an open door on our right to see Richie Blackmore reading kerrang

Nice one, sounds like a great night. I saw them on that tour also (Endinburgh show grounds I think), The superb Rose Tattoo supporting if I am not mistaken. Those were the days.

A night i,ll never forget, thats for sure. And yes they certainly were the days...£4.00 per ticket. That doesnt even buy you a fish and chip supper haha!
