I dont think its a concious thing that Gillian is doing, its just a big mix of British and American accents in one. Its what makes her unique!

Is it just me, or is that an Irish accent? Don't get me wrong, Gillian is brilliant. I just find it a bit strange that she changes her accent based on the people she's around. While such a shift can happen naturally over time, I wish she would just pick the accent with which she feels most comfortable and stick to it.
