So we were supposed to get this huge snowstorm, and I wanted to get a time-lapse of it so that I could make a cool video out of it. This is what I got.

Notice on the radar that central Jersey, where I am, is in a color that isn't even indicated on top of the screen, meaning that we were supposed to get even MORE than 12+ inches.

  • Truth is that meteorologists take educated guesses about weather. Let's get real, no one can actually predict what will happen. Thus why, until recently, TWC never cought a tornado on camera.

  • Yet they report their "predictions" as being as close to fact as they can. If it's an educated guess, they should say that, however I've noticed that ever since this storm, our local weathermen haven't made solid snow total predictions until well into the storms themselves.

  • In Highlands NJ, 3 days before the Dec 26 2010 blizzard, they predicted 3 - 6" for us......we ended up with 29.5" and snow drifts blown by strong winds up to 2nd story roofs....then Hurricane Irene was going to hit and they evacuated us telling us there would be a 10ft storm surge, wound up being a 1 -2 foot storm surge and we only flooded with 2 - 4 ft of flood water. stupid twc

  • The "Worthless Channel"

  • weather channel is wrong more often then right xD

  • @matt9822 Didn't a couple of models predict 6 to 7 feet for the New York to Philadelphia corridor??

  • forecasting the weather is the hardest job ever

  • @SpottingWithTom i think your crazy

  • The Weather Channel was good, until John Hope died in 2002.

  • The worst weather related "bust" I remember was Feb 11, 2010. Meteorologist everywhere were forecasting 16 inches of snow... I ended up with two.

  • THE WEATHER CHANNEL AND WEATHER.COM ARE ALWAYS WRONG I CAN DO BETTER THEN THEM

  • @ravendta The Weather Channel is a joke to meteorologists...like the real ones at the National Weather Service. Always listen to the NWS first; no one is always right, but they are usually by far the closest...
