I put the processor Core 2 Extreme X9100 in my Asus g71gx-rx05 and him is much better

how do you install the BIOS update? Sorry, i'm new to PC

So according to the ASUS Live Update (bios uptater) "There is no need to update the environment", which I take to mean I already have the latest BIOS version. I've tried installing the newest Nvidia drivers, and it'll work for that one session, but when I put my computer to sleep and wake it up, the issue comes back. I'm running Win7 Pro 64-bit, instead of the standard Vista Home Premium.

how much more expensive was this than the G51vx? mine is also a p8700 with a 260m but the model is way lower. got it in august 2009 i believe. having heating issues with it though. >:l

Do I have that notebook, and do I want to do upgrade of the processor for the x9100 or the q9200, do you think he supports those processors???

@alexandreldm There is Alot of talk on the Asus support fourms about CPU upgrades, you should check the threads there under the laptop.
