@Lava1964 It was basically a cartoon version of the honeymooners. Not sure many people thought it was for kids when it came out at all.

Our 14th anniversary today - and I LOVED the Flinstones. I watched it every day when I had my lunch when I was a kid. The Pink Panther was on after it. Ahh, it was a fun childhood....

@Dathinkingman This show wasn't for kids--at least at the beginning. It was a prime-time comedy show. The first season of The Flintstones definitely had an adult edge to it.
