How to do hanging leg raises, Simply lifting you legs does little to work the abs. Abdominals are engages maximally with spinal flexion and extension. The focus of the exercise should be about rolling the hips up to generate a maximum abdominal contraction, then returning to a good lumbar curve to relax and stretch out the abs. A good stretch at the end range of motion gives you an extended range of motion and allows for a better workout and builds flexibility. The speed of the contraction should be controlled. It's especially important to have definite beginning and ending points for your range of motion. I like to pause at each to avoid swinging and prevent using momentum from making the exercise too easy. Holding the contraction for a couple seconds makes the exercise even more intense.   • Hanging leg raises work my upper and lower abs intensely. Check out my abs, i never do sit ups or crunches. The 'iron gym' doorway bar with ab straps sold in many stores is a great buy and works in most doorways.

  • Hello! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some decent things about it and my BF got amazing 6 pack abs and lost lots of fat with it.

  • @tyciol buy em at Wal Mart or Target for like 50 dollars you get the bar, the straps, perfect pushups and toning wheel in one man. Good Stuff man
