The song is ΜΕ ΤΑ ΧΕΡΙΑ ΣΤΑΥΡΩΜΕΝΑ - me ta heria stavromena (with hands crossed) from Macedonian singer Vasilis Karras (ΒΑΣΙΛΗΣ ΚΑΡΡΑΣ).

AGAINST ETHNIC ALBANIANS:

"Although human rights principles are encoded in Macedonian law, their application remains selective and incomplete. This is partially a result of political and economic pressures in the southern Balkans, as well as of the countrys communist traditions. But at times, the current Macedonian government has been directly responsible for violating the rights of its citizens."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 1)

"Albanian nationalists, led by the PDP, sponsored a referendum in January 1992 in support of cantonization. The result showed that 74 percent of those voting (put at 92 percent of those eligible to vote) supported territorial autonomy for Albanians in Macedonia. The state, however, refused to recognize the vote and declared it illegal."

(Karen Dawisha, Bruce Parrott, POLITICS, POWER, AND THE STRUGGLE FOR DEMOCRACY IN SOUTH-EAST EUROPE, p 253)

"A major complaint of the ethnic Albanians concerns higher education in the Albanian language. An attempt in early 1995 to open a private Albanian-language university was deemed illegal by the state and ordered shut down. The initiative continued nonetheless, and an Albanian man was killed when police clashed with Albanians on the first day of classes. The organizers of the university were imprisoned for a brief period after a trial that failed to meet international standards the second such trial against a group of prominent ethnic Albanians in the past two years."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 2)

AGAINST ORDINARY CITIZENS:

"But minority groups are not the only victims. All citizens of Macedonia suffer from the countrys weak democratic institutions, immature political parties and economic hardships. Despite the adoption of democratic legal standards, for example, there are still many violations of due process in Macedonian courts against all citizens regardless of their ethnicity. Defendants are sometimes held in detention for longer than the twenty-four hours allowed by Macedonian law, submitted to physical abuse, denied access to a lawyer or the right to a fair trial."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 2)

Archbishop Jovan, citizen of Skopje, Serbian Orthodox clergyman put in Jail for denying a 'Macedonian' Church:

http://www.oca.org/News.asp?ID=1118&SID=19

"The political opposition has also complained about mistreatment by the state, including phone-tapping and police harassment."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 2)

"Another problem in Macedonia involves freedom of the press. The state-run company Nova Makadonja still has a virtual monopoly on printing and distribution, which severely limits the possibilities for an independent press. In May 1995, the government closed eighty-eight private radio and television stations, especially some of the more influential minority stations, allegedly for technical reasons."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 2)

VITAL INTERESTS OF THE NATION:

"Both the United States and Europe fear a spread of war to Macedonia since the conflict could draw in Greece and possibly Turkey, both members of NATO, as well as Albania, Serbia and Bulgaria. In the name of stability, however, both the U.N. and the OSCE tend to defend the status quo in Macedonia and downplay human rights violations within the country."

(Fred Williams, Helsinki Human Rights Watch, A THREAT TO STABILITY, p 3)

  • patetic, you greeks are ignorants, racacist , and use metods of propaganda that are penalizing only your country and not the Macedonians.... Very sad all this history between this two countries with the most rich history in the world...

  • @gammanick, you have been under communism for over 40 years, and because of that, you have been brainwashed with propaganda. The reality is that Macedonia was never a slavic kingdom and the territory was a disputed border between Byzantium and Bulgaria. Macedonia's history is Greek, even if many Bulgarians invaded and settled there.

  • Thank you for the video i dont have time to loss with GREEK PROPAGANDA.

Do you want to take North Epirus come to take it .

CHAM will take the South epirus because they was catched out with force .

IS this true or i am a LYER ????

Mi fa piaccere che parli in italiano ma a me mi va meglio parlare in Inglese se non capisci qualche parola apri il dizionario cosi sara piu faccile per te .

    Ciao Ciao .

  • Epirus, all of it, belongs to Greece, since Epirus is tied with Greek history and Byzantine Christianity. in 1967, Albania passed a law that it was illegal to belong to a religion, and that until 1991, it was illegal to own a car. Albania is a failed stated, come to realize this

  • Where have lived Cham population ???

Answer my question first , they are our problems with religion or to have or not a car .

We was under comunist rule .

In albania they only MERCEDES .

Does greece recognise albania and macedonian minorities .

In CiaBook is said : years 1990 and after greece pretend to have minority , more than 12% of albania population but that was only propaganda(if you want go to see ciabook page) .

DOES GREECE RECOGNISE MINORITIES IN HIS STATE ?????

  • it doesn't matter how many chams lived in Epirus, that doesn't make it Albania. WHat makes a land part of a nation is its history and civilization.

Greece regonizes only religious minorities, so there are Muslims (Turks, Pomaks in Thrace, and Albanian, Pakistanis, Bengalis in Athens). There are Bulgarians and Albanians in Greece, but since they are Greek orthodox, they don't consider themselves minorities, except for the bulgarians who think they are Macedonian orthodox.

  • No, I don't understand. You could have stayed home in Albania or have gone to another country.

You should be grateful that you even have a job, instead of being vile and hateful!

  • @albert19940 it seems to me that you are double minded. If you do not like living in our country, the door is wide open for you to leave. No one is forcing you to stay in Greece, Mr. Potty Mouth!!!!!

  • I am Macedonian and I am insulted when I am forcefully identified with these Slavic people.

Recently one friend told me I am Bulgarian.

    I asked: HOW?

He responded: Are you not Macedonian?

This is what happens when Bulgarians steal my name... I become a Bulgar too, forcefully.

Fuck Skopje. I hope to see it burning by my hand in this lifetime.

  • Albania and Bulgaria must unite and fuck FYROM from both sides. The exit of this situation is simple - common borders with Albania. End of the story.

  • Chief government religious affairs official Zvonko Mucunski has refused to provide religious communities with the latest text of the new draft religion law, religious minorities have complained to Forum 18 News Service. The big sticking point in the draft law due to go to public discussion as early as March is whether more than one denomination of any one faith can gain legal recognition, banned in the present law and in the previous version of the draft new law.

  • MACEDONIA IS GREEK

  • The true Macedonians are Hellenic Greek. Not some Yugoslav nation that use to be called vardarska.

  • @ArvaniteLegacy true FYROM are bulgarians .!

  • the real owners of macedonia are the original macedonian people not any other race if these facts are true that fyrom is the root of macedonian problem then all other nations should bomb the fuck out of fyrom and wipe them out once and for all if fyrom likes to bully the native macedonian then they shouldent get upset when their brothers and sisters have their heads cut off

  • @gammanick or you call stealing king samuil is your history ? you are the biggest joke see in my channel :)

  • @gammanick :D pfffff since when FYROM has history :D
