  • @lowspark68 yes they always fall for the religion thing when they have been throiugh a lot. its pathetic really. real people deal with the mistakes they have made in life and choc it up as an experience. these people want to punish themselves by becoming nuns which is lame as a way of making themselves feel better about the dirt they have done.

  • NO! i love lancelot!

  • @Furienna Oh, certainly not! My brother is an asshole! But I'm certain that there are incestous energies in every family.

I really don't want to discuss whether Mary had sex or how many kids she had. Nobody will ever know. It is not about the real person "Mary" I'm talking, but the meaning that her image entails, and the imnpact this has had in our culture. And that is one of sexlessness.

  • @natanora: Mary had at least six more children after Jesus was born (he had four brothers and an unspecified number of sisters), so I guess she did have sex, even though some Catholics try to deny it. And anyway, Mary was believed to help all women in their need, especially during childbirth.

And if we "learned" that incest is wrong, maybe that's for a reason? Would you actually sleep with your brother yourself?

  • @Furienna A divine female as a virgin? I prefer a divine female that enjoys all the sex she can have. And making two siblings sleep together only seems wrong because we learned it was wrong.

  • @ChristinasMinx I think Julianna Margulies does a pretty decent job. But agreed everyone else falls very very short of the book.

  • @Furienna If you read the book you would know that Igraine dies much earlier. Than Viviane. Morgause ends the book alive as far as we know.

  • @natanora: Well, watch the last scene of the movie, and you will see, that while Christianity might have won over most of the old traditions, the divine female was still around. And it's not like the old religion was portraited completely positively either, Vivianne and Merlin making two half-siblings sleep together and produce a baby being the best example of that.
