RIZ-ZOAWD DS gameplay

EDIT- Game is now being localized for a US release by XSeed under the title "The Wizard of Oz- Beyond the Yellow Brick Road". Releasing fall 2009. Probably September 30 according to most sites.

This is gameplay for the absolutely stunning RIZ-ZOAWD (anagram for WIZARD OZ). It's an RPG for DS based on the story The Wizard of OZ. Apart from the unusual concept, the gameplay seems to be standard RPG turn-based gameplay (and the battles look like Dragon Quest). What really sets this one apart is the graphics! Absolutely stunning and gorgeous 3D!

game is fun though, but i keep freezing at the battle with the 2 bats and ghost gummy. after i defeat those 3 my game freezes...

Game freezes are usually caused by piracy, so you're probably playing the game on a flashcard. Can't help you there, and don't expect any most places. I've had none of those problems. If you bought the game, return it.

@jasonr1929 Well, I didn't say that. What i did was point out that you were citing another author's work that was BASED on the OZ books. You can be a fan of OZ all you want, but you were basing your comment on a Broadway show plot.

@jasonr1929 YES. I am correct. And I have seen Wicked, but I am talking about the first 15 OZ books actually written by Baum himself.

The much lauded McGuire fanfic, however steeped in current pop culture, is not canon. I would suggest you read the real books before you discuss OZ.

@MissOddstar NOPE, only the lucky animals (very few) could still talk at the time around when Dorothy dropped in. And eventually those lucky animals will lose their ability to talk... haven't you seen Wicked?
