  • None of these work efficiently. The fastest way- use your digital camera to do the task. (Or if allowed, a regular scanner. ) Then use an OCR software like Paperport to convert the image into text.

  • Docupen is by far the best pen sized scanner in quality, efficiency, and also simplicity to use.

  • more than 2 years down the road and the whole pen scanning gadget still hasn't improved! The pens and technology are still so backward!

  • Yep. It's called Optical Character Recognition.

  • Aren't there programs designed for scanners that convert raw images of scanned paper into text files by recognizing the individual letters and converting them from raw pixels into digital text information? The programs are basically reverse printers.
