I feel so spoiled ... I've always looked through the windows to stare at the outside, dreaming of somehow getting out to the beautiful sunsetting fields, or where the fountain was. I've always knew they were just flat land textures and all but this kinda ruins it for me lol. I kinda like to keep it that way, when you're kinda forced to imagine the outside and feel like there's a bigger world out there, something not even Anniversary or high-end graphics can do these days.

@Joshorty ..Yes your right about it being quite realistic for that time, considering there was no SKYBOX to create outside enviroments. So outside at that time was created with boxed rooms.

@thegreatchi it's amazing how the simple things ripples into bigger thoughts lol. anyway i actually wouldn't mind trying this out. do you have the dat or tr4 or whatever files for the TRLE so I can try them or this just for the video?

@Joshorty ....Sorry but files are long gone, but if you can use TR tool ...'TRitem', just copy the mansion data file off the TR1 disk which is called gym.phd, them move lara to an 'outside' location and save it, and then run the game on a TR1 custom engine, that you can get from TRLE net, playable for download TR1 custom game, by renaming and replacing the data file in the data folder. You then have lara 'outdoors', you can repeat this for all 'outdoor' areas. Cheers Chi.
