Tutorial:

This seems easy as it is just a model swap, but brawl likes making things difficult so it isn't.

You need BrawlBox .58 and BrawlBox .60.

Open up the stage with the background and extract the model of the background, not many stages have this.

Open up the other stage (in this case green greens) and replace the model of the background.

It gets confusing here.
Now you need to add the textures, which is hell.

You can't have 2 texture files and you can't replace textures.

Open up brawlbox .58 and keep brawlbox .60 open.
Go to .60 and to the model of the BG, go into textures1.
Write down how many textures there are. (For the BG model).

Go back into the stage with the BG.
Export the textures in textures[0].
Close .60 for now.

Go back into .58
Add a texture into textures[0] for every texture in the changed background, doesn't matter what the texture is for now.

Save, close .58 and open .60.
Go into the file, check the background, rename and replace all the added texture files to the texures in Textures1.

Done!

  • k so yeah i put the rel into pf/module and i put the sound in pf/sound/strm/ and i put the pac in pf/stage/melee but for some reason when i play it on my wii i start and it just freezes and makes a high pitch squeel so could u plz help me out.

  • remember. custom stages use a model for the texture spread of their backgrounds. in theary, this method should apply to them as well.

    btw. Samus's melee stage has a model for a background as well. :)
