i sorta have a ipod collection too, an ipod touch 1st gen and ipod shuffle 3rd gen (that was the dumbest design apple ever did, next to the current nanos, i cringe when my 5th gen dies)

The Apple rainbow logo version had three meanings behind it.
Lust, Knowledge and Anarchy.
Lust = the bit out of the fruit from Genesis
Knowledge = Apple dropping on Sir Isaac Newton’s head
Anarchy = the colors in the rainbow were out of order.
I still have the Apple corporate i.d. poster that gave the background meaning.
It was a very expensive logo to print since it was a six color logo. When Steve came back to Apple in 97’ a little older and wiser he switched it to just one color.

@elvis20000000007 All those meaning were retroactively attached to it. The original meanings (or lack there of) are what I said in the video according to none other than the designer himself, Rob Janoff

@Mattsmacintosh the apple's bite was the a in apple overlapping the apple, it was supposed to look like the apple on the apple ][ case

@Nicholasc99 Nope, the bite was first, then later the "a" was placed in the cut out. Read any of the interviews from its designer, Rob Janoff, if you want to learn more about it.
