Inspired by a French exchange student and the music of Frederic Chopin's Prelude No. 15 and dedicated to everyone else around me while making it. Unfortunately YouTube quality doesn't really do it justice
This was my attempt at a story about life, using the most enduring symbolic representation of it i could think of, a tree. Completed as part of my VCE Media 2010 Unit 4 SAT, it took four months to make, ending up using only 4000 of the photos taken. No computer animation used (except the titles), it was all entirely hand drawn, rubbed out and redrawn again and again by me. I should also credit a friend, the 'Musical Director' of the project who composed the original score on garageband in the brief three days before it was due, my Grandparents for finding really the obscure whiteboard marker colours I wanted like brown, pink or orange, and Miss Ev' and Miss Hattam for letting me wag two days of actual school in the Media room to finish it, because even Final Cut Pro struggled with it.
To me its nostalgic, different parts of it I remember drawing at different times over those four months, the last four months of high school. Lots of people told me they loved it, but like any self-respecting Artist I'm still not happy with it.

the patience needed to create this...amazing job. I actually smiled at the end, when the tree shed its bark and everything was green again. Amazing!
