2011.05.20 [ Heavens ] speed drawing video

This was a Livestream recording. I removed most afk pauses but left the video as is. The video is meant to show the entire process so it's very fast and not meant to show technique.

There is one hour missing between the completed line art and the start of colour refining. I forgot to record that part but i mostly just applied a layermask to the character and roughly airbrushed the out of line colours away.

I tend to move the canvas instead of my hand, so the screen spasms like it's having a seizure LOL

May I ask how you managed to erase all the colors that went outside the lines automatically? ;w;

@LoveIipop I can't remember but I think I selected the entire outside area with magic wand and made a layermask for it.

Secondly- do you color the lineart at the end, like after all the shading, etc, is done? If so, how do you go about that (like what colors? Sorry, im so unspecific)Thanks so much~

@Twiliwings if you're asking for specific colours, then it's hard to answer because they all depend on the colours surrounding the lines. colouring lines green when you're painting a fiery sunset scene wouldn't make sense, for example. youll just have to ask yourself what looks right and try out various colours. (or learn colour theory/lighting and find out the correct answer)

What are you brush settings in Sai? Do you use a Smoothing?

@theflamepriestess I only use pencil (pen?) on sai and I only line on sai. colouring is done in photoshop
