I don't agree that this performance is zu schnell. It is on the fast side of permissible, but it is eased by the relaxation of the tempo at key points. The lady sings with lovely Empfindsamkeit.

Yes, the first time I heard this song I actually thought it was early Schubert. It is amazingly prophetic of his songs, decades before they were written.
