money is required but it's not enough to solve a problem. Big money is a big cake for corrupted guys in govs. here (reach north) and there (poor south). The real solution is fairness and justice in intl. economy. The obstacle - corporations which make a lot of money out of abuse. Example: food subsidizing in EU. How Africa can compete on the world market? But tell this to the French/German farmers... The only way out of this mess is education - again here and there.

Let me get this straight. One American Dollar a day will keep an African child alive? I assume the food would be coming from America.

First, if an American ate $1.00 worth of food a day, he would look like an ethiopian... And we grow a lot of food, so it isn't expensive.

2nd, did you know that jet fuel costs around $1,600 per GALLON? How many gallons does it take to get cargo freight to Africa?

3rd, there has to be a system in place to distribute the food or else you have more rioting.

Difficult to donate or not,it is actually depends on how much passion and love we have for those in Africa. Why some girls have financial problem but still can buy a lot of makeup? Because they WANT it.
