SCTV, 12/2/78 - Count Floyd is all set to present a reeeeelly scary one for the boys and girls. Unfortunately, Mrs. Prickley - he suspects - booked, and forces, "Whispers of the Wolf" on him, a parody of Ingmar Bergman's dark, and very depressing, work. To say Count Floyd is "pissed" would be an understatement. Joe Flaherty, Catherine O'Hara, Andrea Martin and Eugene Levy. ***The extra bright lighting was deliberate to give it that "artsy" look!***

  • Love the character, love the show, thanks for the upload :)

  • @guitarran Very welcome!

  • OK, first of all: it's not "scary". It's SKEDDDYYY!!! I used to date a guy that reminded me so much of Joe Flaherty. Good looking and funny, but not SKEDDY. Just really talented where it counted...in the kitchen! Made a killer red sauce...Oooohh...that IS sort of skeddy...red sauce...blood...hmmmm. Miss him a lot.

  • @MsTimetowaste LOL! Cute story, and hope you can at least relive those nice days while watching this one!

  • "The Virgin Spring" is actually pretty scary -- it inspired "The Last House on the Left," in fact. So Ingmar Bergman could make a scary film if he wanted to.

  • I remember when there used to be hacks almost the same as Count Floyd. They were on local stations, just like SCTV is supposed to be. It was really funny on some of the really low budget ones because sometimes the same movie host dressed up like a vampire on the Saturday p.m. monster movie might be the weather man the rest of the time. Funny as heck! Once in a while, they'de get sandbagged by a turkey like this and it was funny.

  • Absolutely Mind Boggling, your collection of these classic "short films" , as I like to think of them! =]

  • @thegreatozz1 LOL, yeah, I thought the same thing. I think I was like 11. I watch this now and it just dawned on me, "Why is Dracula howling like a werewolf?" :-)

  • Bergman IS scary!
