she was average before the photoshop. evenm after they applied make up on her she still looked like a random next door girl. I like the way they gave her 20% more neck with photoshop
That's how it works in beauty-land, in my theory you have two extreme ends, a seriously disfigured person on one end and that lovely photoshop image on the other. the disfigured person have fewer qualities similar to everyone else, however everyone can identify more with the beautiful photoshopped image. get angry all you want but people would much rather be on the photoshopped end than the disfigured one.
Yes there is a middle ground for "variety" or those with various blemishes and imperfections, but at the end of the day where ever you fall on the spectrum of beauty with all the blemishes and imperfections, there is a person out there with lesser imperfections and blemishes than you. No one really wants to be in the middle, we all have repressed desires to move as far away from the disfigured extreme, we all have desires to look beautiful in the eyes of everyone.
The only reason that people worry about being absolutely perfect so much these days is because of the things the video shows. I honestly don't think that people would worry that much if the media didn't exist, because it plays a big part in that area. All I am saying is that people should not be so deluded by this and be so focused on being perfect for everybody else, it's just not possible, and frankly, it's just idiotic.
So now your blaming the media for your own insecurities? Sure looking at a celebrity photoshopped to perfection can be intemidating to especially those that can't keep up with natural beauties, but wouldn't it be easier to just ignore it? I never said perfection was attainable, just that people desired it. But you are right, there are people with fetishes for things most people would find unattractive.
Yes. The media is to blame. Oh I never said I was insecure, I said others are. Don't assume things when you don't have any evidence of said things being said.
And no, apparently it isn't so easy to ignore it, or there wouldn't be so many problems with most young girls, even boys, these days. The media is all around us people in the Western world.
There is this ONE image out there for everyone to achieve, pouty lips, big eyes, size 0, big breasts, nice bottom, long legs, perfect nose, and a perfectly symmetrical face, and Everyone has imperfections whether you like it or not, and you are never going to be beautiful to absolutely everyone because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And I'm not talking disfiguration, I'm talking variety.
To be honest, imperfections are what makes someone perfect imo.
