A medieval fighting recreation inspired by the Combat of the Thirty (1351 AD) using modified SCA fighting rules. Three blows to the head were required to stun and then capture opponents for ransoms. Opponents could be killed by a thrust to vital areas not protected by armour. The rough nature of this fight is not typical of SCA armoured combat and does not represent fighters ignoring blows but as mentioned a modification to the rules.
Despite the historical fight having only 60 fighters there were close to 70 in this fight. The English won this deed of arms. This event took place at the annual Pennsic War XXXIX in August 2010. Please provide comments and ratings for feedback.
