I just got this game today. I'm absolutely loving it. It's under-rated nature gives it a certain...prestige. Not everyone knows about it, but it seems the few who do have a very palpable level of pride in completing it. You train constantly. There are no ridiculous quests that run you across a 400km square map to find the(insert object name) of (insert hero name/adjective) This is one of the few games that actually seem feel like the real thing.

This game was real fun, my brother always whooped me though. Good memories right here.

a cool thing to do with bushido blade style gameplay would be to have a mass scale war, and you be in the middle of it. that would be cool, but because of the chaos of a war maby they should let you wear armor so you dont die super fast

@MegaDragonHero Bushido Blade is similar but not connected to Kengo. i'v been looking for a new game that is similar to Kengo but unfortunately i haven't really found any. If you want to play a good samurai type game i'd recommend playing Way of the Samurai for the ps2. its a great game and will only cost about $15. if you enjoy that game then you should consider playing the third installment for the PS3. i didnt like the 3rd game very much but the first Way of the Samurai is amazing.

i like this game alot. probably because i never played the bushido blade series. the only real flaw is that it has almost no features at all. theres only tournament, vs and that bullshit single player which is basically a very long training mode

nicely done not getting hit, but trust me on this; the guy you are using for this vid can kill dudes a lot faster.

Shozaemon Hyuga can kill his opponents in less than 10 seconds. Sometimes less than 5 seconds. I know; I've done it. You need to pick the sword style where the disciple is a guy named Yatsunao, and one handed moves that combine sweeping slashes, and lightning fast transitions from downward to upward strokes. It is also important that the slashes "flow" into each other, like a diving swallow, or falcon.
I wish they would make another Bushido Blade. I just love that no health bar tactical gameplay they had. Maybe I'm just living in the past.

@AzurBlaz You're not the only one living there. I don't really see them ever releasing a BB sequel. In today's modern market, it just wouldn't sell unless they released it as a downloadable game. Fighting games in general are mostly dead except for the main ones (Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter) this generation of gaming, so something like BB really wouldn't sell. I could see some epic online sword battles if they ever implemented multiplayer with more than just 1on1 tho

I feel like this is justly underrated BECAUSE if the original bushido blade...i was wondering what games you consider the worst games you have played...out of curiosity i mean

@brettboulet You know, I don't really focus on the bad. I'm not of the opinion that there are a ton of bad games out there, just a ton of average ones. A lot of games people say are bad are perfectly playable, just not spectacular in any way. If you didn't know there was something better out there, you'd be inclined to like them. For me to really think a game is bad it's gotta be a broken, Glitchy, unplayable mess of a game. Otherwise I'm inclined to rate it as playable, but unspectacular.
