yes i would very much like to see you use this.
this may be a stupid q but why is the blue bowl raised in the center,i thought gold liked to fall to the bottom,how would it even enter the sluce below it?
imatelly 5 months ago
@imatelly The blue bowl is raised in the center so that when the water starts to spin the lighter dirt climbs up the cone and out of the center leaving most of the gold in the bottom of the blue bowl. The small sluice underneath is just a second stage recovery system to catch any tiny gold that may have made it's way out with the dirt.

@crampoable
Thanks for the comment :)
Gotta love milk crates!
I've decided I need to redesign it a bit... Having the funnel attached to the bottom seems to disturb the blue bowl's water flow (backs up a bit and water can't escape the bowl quickly enough).
I think I'm going to abandon this project and start on my miller table.
I spent an afternoon feeding material through a friends miller and I'm convinced!
The blue bowl is great for what it is, but it's tediously slow... Miller from now on!

@williambheil1 There are a few different options... a cheap low voltage option is a playstation controller.. I used a motor from a 12V drill and ground off part of the cog on the end making it spin off balance and causing a pretty good vibration.
Good luck! :)
