If those stiltwalkers are beginners, then I consider the stilts are way too high for starting. No more than 24inches is ideal. It is all very well to hold on to something to get your balance but stilts are like ice skates you need the courage to step away from the solid support and get out in the middle. That is where you learn balance and ability.
