This is an experiment to test the durability of a typical laptop drive.
It is well known that cooling drives can sometimes allow limited data recovery, so logic suggests that heating should make things worse.
The drive in question was already damaged but I'd reformatted and zerofilled it with only one or two bad sectors then reformatted again.
Needless to say it didn't survive the procedure but something was learned in the process..
