This large, and somewhat aggressive Moray Eel is accustomed to being fed by divers, and will approach even if you dive the wreck with no food in hand. There is usually one or more large Southern Stingrays around competing for the same handouts.( See my Stingray Clips). Makes for an interesting dive.

We dove with Dixie Divers out of Boca Raton Inlet. Their dive shop is in Deerfield Beach, Florida. They run the "Lady Go Diver" boat. Water Temp was 80 degrees, even in December.. This was dive day 2 on Dec 16th, 2009. Low current and good vis.

  • @brenjosephmedley , this wreck sits at about 65 feet on the deck and 75-80 on the sand. Great spot!

    Is it dangerous to dive with Morays like this? I know they are pretty savage to their prey.
