  • How do you manage to use the word 'monopolise' in conjunction with the word 'corporations'? (Note the plural on the latter and the definition of the prefix on the former.)

  • I don't think he's denying that at all. He begins by essentially stating that. But he's saying that that era is coming to an end, and cites iTunes as a very good example.

  • Guess what uncle moneyBags, It's a new era of sustainability without having to pay for your fleet of private Jets ! Sooorry.

  • He may not be all wrong, I would just like to say he comes off as a doofus.

  • We already have paid content on the net. What this guy wants to do is monopolise the entire network into the hands of the corporations making everything paid content. HELL NO!

  • Gross. The internet already makes tons of money, through advertising. Perhaps paid and free content can co-exist, but in that case the paid content has to very good quality! BUT! this won't happen! The first thing i see these guys doing once they get people to start paying for content is to make it more difficult for people to make free content FREE. either through getting rid of net neutrality, using their growth to increase hosting costs, or whatever else. I just don't trust them. STAY FREE!

  • internet's already making money... guys at the top, as usual, just wanna drive their stake in it ASAP... which competitively is their job... but this is a competition/beast that could be extremely hard to win.

boys and our toys and games... without God... we will pay with our lives, legacies and limited days

  • he may be right. but it may not be in his lifetime. that's his mythology
