  • Informative, ty...

( don't suppose anyone has heard anything more concrete about new Cron dex release ETA? )

  • Sadly it is the last thing on their minds. I've heard late 2010 or even when 40K 6th edition comes around in 2011.

  • I like the whole, stacking the 2 cover saves, but i had an opponent say that vulnerable to blast, and vunerable to blast/templents would than stack, since im saying that small target and stelth stacks. exa: small target and vunerable to blast is in necron codex. and stelth and vulnerable to blast/templent is in rulebook. thoughts? because i think GW would have intended for the new rules to replace the old ones in the codex. a small target cant be small twice i think :P

  • What about pariahs with a Lord.

    Cons: Slow moving, Expensive

Pros: Cause enemies within 12 to be LD 7,their much more useful in close combat.

The nightmare shroud with pariahs would be perfect against marines and high leadership units. I managed to make 5 squads of marines fall back ( some falling off the table because they were hugging the table edge with devastators) In the end of that battle I ended up with 8 kill points my opponent 0 kill points. Its nasty in apocalypse with flank march

  • You cant turbo boost into difficult terrain and as the scarrab entry says that they dont have to take the test, not that they ignore it. They cant turbo boost into the terrain.

Although tbh you could turbo boost up to it and get the 2+ cover save (turbo boost + small target) and move in next turn.

  • why are all of your strategies based around fighting Guard? that isn't accurate to how this will work against most armies, morale based necron armies never work because most of your opponents (unless they are tau or dark eldar) simply dont care.

  • You do know that you can't use VoD with a unit of Pariahs. It only works with units that have the "necron" rule.

  • This tactic is pretty crappy the way you are trying to use it. You are counting on low leadership troops which just don't exist in 5th ed. Also any artillary is going to OBLITERATE that unit next turn.

  • What I have seen done with great succes is what you mention, using a lord with nightmare shroud and veil of darkness. but together with a unit of piriaphs, making your opponent ld 7. maybe throw in the gaze of flame if that can be done pointwise...

  • leman russ eradicators

insta double kills scarabs in an ordnance blast that ignores their armor and any cover
