NOT a mishit ..thats a common contact point for a pro it's towards the underside of the racquet above the traditional 'sweetspot' for imparting the most spin and power. Look at just about all the pros racquets and you'll see the ball fuzz there. It comes from an extremely loose grip at contact and dropping the raquet into the slot as he's done here. On a very good day I'll be hitting balls like that and you can feel the racquet holding and imparting spin on the ball

Silly question. Obvious answer. Total mishit by Federer. Out of a zillion balls he hits only a few will be like hit like this one.
