My review of a very nice Japanese dagger design, the Kanetsune "Hi" knife with Damascus White Steel blade and bamboo handle and sheath.

  • ive really been thinking about buying one but are they tuff ? and were do u buy em ?

  • @Maddawwg45 - Knifeworks sells them. Tough? Well, it is a wood handle and average thickness blade, no more tough or weak than what it is. There's extra thick fixed blades, ESEE, Rat, and TOPS knives all have their hard use models.

  • @WeAllJuggleKnives yea i guess thats what i was getting at was wondering if the white or blue steel is tuffer then the say vg-10 ,laminated or say 5160 spring steel in other words are they worth the money id be using it cause i dont believe in owning something thats just gonna sitin a display case day after day and not be used at some point

  • @Maddawwg45 - Blue Steel is Hitcahis best steel in the color series, not a metallurgy expert, but I believe it is tougher than VG-10 yes. I'm not sure exactly on White Steel, just that it is lower grade than Blue. 5160 is very tough, I don't think they'd be as tough as that.

  • Thanks for all your videos man, you help me big time bro.

  • @arakno1 - hey no problem, glad i could help

Blue isn't better. It's all about what you're after. White is a cleaner steel that takes on a keener edge.

Blue has added materials which makes it tougher, but with larger carbides. So it won't be able to take as keen an edge.

    Both are great though.

  • wow that is a really nice blade

  • hay brother now if your looking to get me anything for xmas haha amazing knife

  • @ruofish Thanks man, that is what I was thinking.
