@ff6rox really graphics? is that all anyone cares about anymore? Suikoden 1 and 2 were never about graphics but story,building armies and being an innoative 2d rpg on the psx. I would go with Suikoden over any FF after 8 anytime...

I'm sorry, but this game is not better than FF9 lol FF9 has better plot, char development, graphics and overall a better battling system. Yes FF9 battling system has flaws (runs slow at times) but nonetheless its still better. I do like this game, but if I had not played either game I'd go with FF9 for sure.

I've played the entire Suikoden series except for this one. I'm thinking of getting either Suikoden or FFIX (which I never finished due to release disc errors). Which would you suggest?

@Cdubzhappy Suikoden > Any FF. Seriously. You might like FF9, I thought it was boring to be honest, but Suikoden is just a fun game to to play, even though it's way more antiquated than FF9. I'd say that would be the only downside.
