Reedley College Aviation, 1945

This video was converted from 16mm film. The film was marked "Reedley College Aviation Program, 1945". We think it might be closer to 1948. Reedley College was established in May, 1926, as Reedley Junior College. In 1936, a separate building on the Reedley High School campus was built to house the junior college administration and provide additional classrooms. A few of these scenes were filmed in the wood shop at Reedley High School. The Aviation Maintenance Technology (AERO) students are shown working on a few powerplants from that era. The aircraft in the film are believed to be at Chandler Field in Fresno, Ca.
