Acrylic Glass (Plexiglas) Folding Heater

I made this project so that i can bend (fold) my plastic acrylic glass pieces. The good thing is that the material is heated only in a narrow straight line, because the aluminum bases around the lamp are water-cooled.

@Twistx77 well, i ripped it from an old laser printer. I am not sure, but i think this lamp is like the ones used to heat public places. I cannot post a site address. google for "lamp heater" and check the results for company "kurt j. lesker". I think it is this lamp

@Twistx77 I Use a very similar thing, made from a 3 bar {halogen room heater} costing about £10.00 stripped down put in a frame, you have 1 ..2... or.. 3 bar locations, used a bathroom floor tile for the sheild to keep cool, whole lot under $20.00... works just fine...

But crappy bending u can get simply heating with a lighter too.
