@somdude04 Do you have more recent videos? It's always cool to see people's progression. You can use this as a cautionary tale for newer dancers :)

good response, somdude04. Sadly so many newbies to swing get into aerials before they understand partner connection then can't fathom why their shoulders/knees/elbows hurt even if they never were dropped/dropped someone.
It is the misfortune of Lindy that people rush into aerials too soon.
Glad to hear you stuck with it. Post a new video so we can see your continued progress.

You have pretty good moves in there but I think you should take more lessons before doing more aerials or else one of you is going to get injured! It's really dangerous if you don't have the proper technique.

Thanks for the concern. This was from nearly two years ago, before I ever took formal training. Now, I've had roughly 200 to 300 hours of formal classes, along with another 600 hours of time on a social floor. I honestly cringe when I watch this video nowadays. I hardly if ever do aerials now, and encourage others to spend a long, long time dancing before trying to do them. After all, even Frankie Manning had been dancing for 7 years before he even tried an aerial.
