Kinsol Trestle Being Restored

COWICHAN VALLEY - Restoration work began today on the historic Kinsol Trestle.

The structure has spanned the Koksilah River for nearly a century and was nearly torn down over concerns it was a danger to public safety.

But thanks to a massive fundraising effort, the Kinsol Trestle will be around for generations to come.

A big component of the funding for this project has been raised by the community, and the goal hasn't quite been met. So far, about 1.1 million dollars has been raised; the target is $2 million. If you are interested in helping out by making a donation check out http://www.kinsol.ca
