So now you're saying that I need to buy a chainsaw, so that I can repair it. I think I'll practice on my petrol strimmer (weedwhacker) first.

So, I was wondering do you use bar oil for the chain saw? Because I have started using car motor oil the past year and find it works just as well and is much cheaper. Now, I've hear some people say they use old (used) motor oil that was drained from a car, but I think that's too thin and broken down. And it sounds like all that black would spray all over someone's clothes. Just wondering if you ever tried using a cheaper oil than regular bar oil.

@charlesfloyb no i haven't used motor oil, i guess if it's the same viscosity it couldn't harm it?
