Went to the Hard Rock for a tasty lunch the other day and bagged the booth under Pete's V.
Can't find out any more about this particular instrument. The most famous V he had was the '58 Korina given to him by Joe Walsh in 1975. That was natural finish with black scratchplate. Nothing about this one even on the shiny Hard Rock memorabilia website. It looks to have been played, lots of wear on the V arms. Anyone with info out there?
And yes, I did stroke the strings!
@unclealbert72 This is an entirely different Flying V. It's a snub-nosed '67 re-issue. The one on the cover of Chinese Eyes is a '58 that was given to Pete by Joe Walsh. Pete sold it plus another guitar to buy a boat. This didn't thrill Joe Walsh. I think the '58 was used for only one song on Chinese Eyes i.e. Slit Skirts. He also used the '58 for By Numbers (some leads) and Empty Glass. The only guitar that Pete ever felt bad about smashing was a Flying V.

Wow...how cool is that?!
I'm a Townshend fanatic and I don't even know anything about his Gibson Flying V.
I want to say that he used it the most for his Chinese Eyes period but I could be wrong.
His SG that he used at Woodstock is at the Hard Rock in London.
