My Love, Gone Missing Ch. 9 Part 1

Alrighty! Sorry for the long wait but this one's pretty long.

(Nick's POV)
My eyesight clouded over again. Furiously, I blinked back tears. It couldn't be, no, no, NO! I rushed over to Madison. She lay on the cold, hard, ground. And she was well... lifeless. Her eyes were closed and blood was pouring out of, well I really couldn't tell where. She was pale white and but I kept on wishing she wasn't... well, hadn't moved on. I took out my cell phone and dialled it. Then, I called Joe and Kevin, and Haley and Pam while I waited for the ambulance to come. Soon, I heard the wailing of the siren and saw flashing lights. Slowly, I tried to pick Madi up. tThis could be my last chance to hold her. Forever. But I couldn't because my heart was heavy. I tried and it took everything but I had her in my arms. The ambulance was coming closer and closer. But I ignored it. Madi was limp in my arms but I bent close to her face. I gave her a quick kiss and right in her face, murmured, "Don't give up hope Madi. You'll always have me, I promise. Don't give up." I could've stayed there all night. Never mind that it's pouring rain. Joe and Kevin rushed up to us. Joe saw Madi in my arms first and his eyes widened, "Whoa! Dude what did you do to her?" Kevin smacked Joe on the back of his head and bent down. "Is an ambulance coming?" I looked up at him. "Listen really carefully Kev. Do YOU hear any sirens? Yes, well there's your answer."The ambulance pulled up and I carefully set Madi down so I could talk to the people. As I aprroached them they asked me if I was the one who called them. I responded, "Yes" and explained what had happened. Meanwhile, the other people loaded Madi and the mentalist who ran into Madi into 2 separate ambulances. Since only two people could go in the ambulance with her I decided to go and Kevin made Joe go too because if Joe drove the car over to the hospital he would need treatment too. Then we sped to the hospital and Madi was unloaded. We were told to wait in the waiting room and Madi was wheeled away from me. I just couldn't believe this. The best people in the world always have messed up lives. And I knew I was responsible for some of that. I should've been ran over! I was the one who was terribly rotten to Madi. Madi didn't do anything. Why was she punished in this way? My heart ached and I felt like someone was stabbing me over and over again. That's when Pam and Kevin ran in, followed by a teary Haley. I knew how she felt. Madi and Haley were best friends. I guessed Kevin told them what happened already when he met them outside. Immediately Pam and Kevin blasted me with questions like if any news about Madi came in. Joe's mood however cheered up when he saw Haley. "Hayls, heyy!" Haley stiffened and ignored Joe. Joe frowned and then walked over to her.

(Joe's POV)
Ugh... I know I made a HUGE mistake with Haley but I really do love her and want her back. "Haley... uhh... can we talk?" Haley glared at me. "Sure Joe... Talk." Ugh! I can see this was gonna be hard. What's wrong with forgiveness? "Privately" I glanced pointedly at Nick, Pam, and Kevin. She smirked. "Either you talk here or not Joe. I'm not gonna change whatever I plan on doing for a traitor. Besides what's so important that they can't hear?" Ouch. Oh wells. I guess I'm gonna have to beg in front of Nick and Kevin. I took Haley's hand and sat down next to her. I tried to be as calm as I could but my voice kept on getting lost and I kept on breaking off. "Haley... Look we had to go on a world tour. I didn't want to leave you but we couldn't bring anyone with us. And you know that I would want to bring you. You have to trust me..." Haley looked into my eyes. "Why? Why Joe? Why should I have to trust you? A simple explanation would've been nice instead of just bolting out the door. I was... I cried over you for days after you left and then you just come back and expect me to take you back and pretend none of this ever happened? New flash Joe. The world doesn't revolve around you. You can have every thing you want Joe. Just accept that because I'm not going back... not again. You hurt me enough and it probably will happen again. So can we just stay friends? I'd really rather not suffer through the pain again." I stared into her eyes and saw hurt in there. My heart almost shattered just to see her like that. It was agony. And the worst part? I knew that all the pain in her eyes was because of me. I let go of her hand and leaned back in the seat. Everything she said about me was true. I did think that she would just want me back. I mean like a lot of girls would do anything to get to go on a date with me. Maybe it's just time to leave the old Joe behind and change. I thought about everything I've ever done........
