This is my first experiment with Final Cut Pro 7 suite Color. It was harder to learn than 'to do'. It is very, very easy and I think the result is excellent. This is also the first time I have used my DSLR Sony NEX 30 E camcorder since I have got on top of it. Big drawback is that it has no auto pan so one has to do this manually. I am getting better.

The little buttons were a challenge in the freezing cold. It was so cold that my hands were frost burnt in just one hour so I had to retreat.

The opening sequence is my first go at time lapse. I took 5 seconds every minute but next time I shall do this every quarter of an hour.

This is just a little draft sampler for my major project, 'The Winter Journey' a group of songs by Schubert that I am bringing up to date! I shall get shot by the traditionalists but art must be re interpreted if it is to live on into the future.

The music is from 'Dance Tales Story Ballets' and was played by Carl Doye in 1986. This was state of the art sound in those days and it is not only video that has come a long way since then. Garageband a free application has ruined my ears. It has made them too sensitive.

Was this easy to do? Well now 'yes!' as I have slowly built up my editing skills but if I was starting out from scratch today I do not think I could have done it. There is a lot to be said for iMovie 2/6.3. I could knock this off in an evening. This took two days and is not much better in quality. Well the color is better as I can now use vignettes and the color matching is so easy.

The strict copyright now enforced means that all music has to be owned and composed before 1923. I expect I shall still get a copyright warning from Google but as they put this up for free I can hardly complain. Still this is another blow to those who would like to learn how to do this.
