I Hate My Laptop! I Need an Intel Core 2 Duo Notebook PC!
My current laptop is used for school but it runs too hot and makes doing things such as word processing hard. Not to mention the fact that the screen's hinge is broken so opening and closing it has become dangerous and I fear the screen will cease to work. I don't know what I'll do if I don't have a laptop for school come this fall :(

Boy is that one of the most retarded things i've heard today. I have a macbook for work, macs DO get viruses, mine freezes alllll the time, and the aluminum chasis interferes with the wifi signal which hinders my wireless perforance

My EEE running XP however, has never had a problem, neither has my custom desktop pc running vista home premium 64 bit

I also have a 15 year old Toshiba that has never had any problems what so ever.

i ment its uncommen that macs get viruses...Microsoft is so old that more viruses are out to get it.....plus i know people who owned a mac for 10 years and only got 1 virus which was easily remoed...though i had a pc 4 1 year and i had to get rid of it because it was attacked with viruses which could not be removed. so add that up, and give me an answer

first of all, mac is OLDER than pc, that's right, older, second of all OS 9 was probably one of the most virus ridden operating systems, EVER, and that 15 year old toshiba I have has NEVER gotten a virus...

My laptop downloads 1 bit per hour on RARE occasions, it takes an hour to open a small program, and the graphics suck. so think about my aptop before you says yours sucks. this took about 3 hours to write.

Dual Core and Core2Duo are not the same, just so everyone knows. and BTW, new heatsink paste can make the laptops run cooler naturally

I suggest getting a desktop setup for reliable school work. Laptops are more delicate. Sure you can take them everywhere, but unless you really need to, they are more problem-prone. I suggest a desktop with good anti-virus software, and stay off porn sites and hacker sites and you will not get viruses. Also, don't let your girlfriend install pretty mouse pointers and everything else off the web.

That looks like a very similar make to my Acer . Cost me $260 to fix today. I got a new outer casing put on and the border around the screen is all new. The labour is what really cost me.
