Me and my brother (who passed away several years ago) did something similar. We stayed in bed armed with two things: my brother had a flashlight saber and I had a rubber Halloween mask with a tiny, action-figure-sized bloody man inside the cracked head. We waited for our parents to check and see if we are up and about. When they came in, my brother said "You didn't knock. The penalty is death" while we both jumped out of our beds and startled our parents.
