@dannyboy000 No. If you tell low tier players about pro stuff like the player's overall plans and the pro stuff they did, the noobs WILL appreciate it. They WILL like it better than play by play casting Its not like explaining pro stuff requires jargon in almost every word in every sentence. Just take a look at Day9 and you will know what I mean.
HD's advantage is clear language, exciting games and humor.

@joeyrenaissance eg/ HD didn't mention at all the zerg's timing of his 3rd and 4th, and the workers numbers there. He should've pointed out roach warren was coming, which already would've predicted zealots wave failing. Not realizing the wrap-gate research hasn't been started the moment cybercore is done. He realizes those things LATER when their results are already obvious. Not knowing why he switched to phoenix? Calling toss's 3rd a "quick 3rd"? Laughable whn he is already in a spectater POV.

@TheAronDark But really both of them are still pretty bad as casters; sure, they are entertaining, but they miss HUGE things in a replay which is just evidence that they aren't good players themselves. And if ur not a good player, u can't be a good caster, since ur missing map awareness etc etc. I seriously wish they would not JUST talk about the obvious.

@TheAronDark But they do have some similarities. Both casters appeal to lower tier more casual players who don't have as great an understanding of the game. Because of this, they themselves need not be super knowledgeable.
