U.Va. Professor Takes Therapeutic Music to Patients' Bedsides

Kate Tamarkin, a member of the performance faculty in U.Va.'s McIntire Department of Music and music director of the Charlottesville and University Symphony Orchestra, has recently begun a second career as a therapeutic musician, playing to sooth patients everywhere from the Medical Center's pediatric ward to a local hospice.
