does saturn have sets of rings and if so how many???
-
thanx for the info....that music is awesome as well....

It was considered a planet(unknown name)which orbits the sun until saturn's/jupiter's orbit changed smashing it to saturn
-
@AggManUK Well, at the maximum brightness, the Sun will be about 10,000 more luminous than today. If I've done the maths right, Jupiter will reach a temperature of 1140 K, or 870 C. The average speed of hydrogen molecules, at that temperature, will be 4 km/second. This is 15 times less than the escape velocity from Jupiter. So, the giant planet should stay in one piece.
Please don't get me wrong - I love your great work :)

Finally, the Cassini probe has sighted the lightenings in the atmosphere of Saturn. They had to wait for the rings to be perfectly horizontal wrt the rays from the Sun and thus reflecting little light.
BTW, great great video, congratulations :)

Is Saturn's rings going to go?

They will eventually, but it will take a long time! :O)

Hi, excuse my ignorance but is it possible for the gas giants to coalesce, becoming more solid, more substantial over time or is it their lot to remain as they are, more gaseus than anyhting as substantial as terra firma. Hope that makes sense, lol

They will stay the same more or less, unless something dramatic happens, like the Sun dying in the future. As the Sun dies it will expand to almost Earths orbit. So this will have an effect on the gas giants. I should think there is a good chance that Jupiter will lose its atmosphere, leaving a molten core to harden. That gas has to go somewhere though, so does it blow out of the system, or add to the other gas planets? A bit of both i think. I wish i was around to find out! :O)
