A tip- Always use the "watch in high quality" link on the bottom right hand corner of the viewing window when watching photo slideshows. Otherwise the photos may look grainy and lack detail.

Beautiful tanks, Joe. What's the secret for live plants? Dont' answer that because I now it's a long story. Anyway, I've got a 29-gallon with one white/gold-crowned angelfish. I know it's a female because she lays eggs quite often, then eats them. I have a Fluval 205 canister for filtration but I try to do partial water changes as often as possible. I keep a plastic 5-gallon jug to age and treat the new water. Don't have enough room, money or time to set up more tanks. Great video.

The secret to planted tanks is understanding the nitrogen cycle and using that knowledge to find balance between the fawna (producing ammonia), the bacteria (converting the ammonia to usable nitrogen), and the floura (consuming the nitrogen). With a perfectly balanced boilogical system, water changes can be eliminated. The funny thing is that plants actually make the tank easier to keep if done correctly.
