The point of this challenge is to beat the game while gaining no EXP. Similar to that of a Low Level challenge, except a Gameshark is used to make all battles result in 0 EXP gains. I don't believe later stages would be too difficult, if I use Isaac's group, but I expect the early stages of the game to be somewhat challenging.

No transferring of previous Golden Sun data, so Isaac and Co. will arrive at their default levels, (which is 28 I believe). Felix, Jenna and Sheeba will stay level 5, while Piers will come in at 18 (I believe).

This is on Hard Mode, so bosses have increased HP and stats.

Save states are not used during the boss fight (if you to take my word anyway).

Strategy?

This battle is annoying. You need to have quite a bit of luck in this battle. I died plenty of times trying to beat Briggs and his mates. My solution was Weasel Claws. Farm them from Momanga's outside of Alhafra. Oil Drops also work, but Weasel Claws are more effective.

Felix: Use Iron once to bolster your party's defense. Pound him with Weasel Claws afterwards.

Jenna: Weasel' Claws!

Sheeba: More Weasel's Claws!

You mainly want Briggs to use Signal Whistle--it wastes one of his turns in order to summon another goon. 3 Weasel's Claws easily kill a Sea Fighter. You want at least 15 Weasel's Claws (5 on each character) before going into the battle. Just hope that Briggs doesn't use Echo Cut, since it can 1HKO Jenna or Sheeba.

I had a bit of trouble taking Briggs down without item farming. Most attempts ended with him using Echo Cut to kill a character. You want to make sure all your characters are alive.

i tried this when i was only 11(18 now) and kept getting owned always. Earlier this week i picked the game up again just to see how far i could get this time with loads more RPG experience (mostly FF) and he went down after a couple of tries! I guess working through dark dawn (that was much easier) helped me get all the mechanics working for me, never used summons back when i was that young cause i thought they dont help much....

They tend to drop them very often for me (after nine battles with those guys in a row, I had 7 Weasel Claws).
