This is just frustrating, trying to watch a video like I've done for many years, gotten used to the advertisements, I get it, youtube has to make money but then stopping a video half way through telling me I have to rent it.

I already pay for the internet, there's adds everywhere, fine but this is just frustrating and frankly insulting.

I refuse to rent anything and will advise all around me to boycott this as well.

It should only be used for full length features IMO. Not no 2 minute clip. As a partner I would rather have people pay for a full length worthy movie as apposed to a short video clip. Don't worry folks, my videos on YT will always be free to you guys.

This video just told me that if I'm in the USA I can now pay $3.99 to watch the 1m45s ADVERT for a movie for two days.

Why would I want to do this?

Now, if you gave me the option to pay not to have adverts included in the videos I watch? THAT I'd willingly pay for.
