  • Also, if happiness isn't based in reality, why does it have such a strong ability to influence our lives, the lives of others and the environment? Yes, happiness is an abstract concept, however, so are courage, love, and truth, yet these things do have meaning.

  • Excellent info. Everyone can benefit. Todays typical measures of success such as fame, money, and power are elusive and don't actually bring happiness. Happiness can be learned today and guides us toward lives that are successful according to our own measure. Perhaps public policy could learn something from this new branch of science. Help get the word out.

  • @mindlesstube it describes a state of mind..not a facial expression. I can be happy without having any facial expessions at all.

  • happy is just a word to describe a facial expression it has no meaning or realism.

  • This is great!
