I read somewhere that it was because they couldn't see a father dumping his daugter in a river somewhere even if it was to protect his son. That was going a little to far.

I think that to RT, it may have meant that we could take the focus away from Aaron Echolls, but we only put the spotlight on him after we see Logan Echolls take out the belt. :)

I think UPN thought it was disturbing because it would mean that Jake Kane dumped his own daughter's body in a river somewhere. It had nothing to do with the way her corpse looked.
