i have a fear of drains every time my friends drag me to the deep end i scream NO!!!! even in bathtubs im scared. i just wish i wasnt scared the people wouldnt make fun of me.

omg at my local ymca, the pool indoors have 2 stainless steel drains that are like 5'x5'! THATS SOOO SCARY! (yes they are compatible). the outdoor pool ,which is much smaller, has only 2 normal drains which are 12"x12". why would they have such large drains there!? thats soo friggan scary!

I'm a hotel reviewer. Dome shaped covers are not the only way to prevent people getting stuck on drains. Two drains that are spaced 36 inches apart will work, too. They are called "Split Drains." A lot of new pools are being built with them now.

I was with my dad 2 years ago at work, he's an electrician, and I was sitting there playing my PSP. I went into were he was working(inside pool) and the drains in the spa, he said were sucking a 1200 gallons a minute. There was a HUGE whirlpool in the middle. It LITERALLY had 8 drains in it. 4 on the ground, and 4 on the sides. I don't fucking understand why it had so many. May I also add they weren't the safe drain covers, but the fucking huge grate drain covers?
